The iEP-5000G industrial IoT gateway from ASRock Industrial has achieved certification for Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, marking a significant step in the deployment of rugged, secure, and highly efficient edge computing solutions. Powered by Intel Atom x6000E Processors, the industrial IoT gateway underwent stringent testing at Canonical’s lab, meeting the highest standards of stability and safety. Ideal for industrial applications such as smart manufacturing and energy management, the iEP-5000G offers features like Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) and Trusted Computing and Communications (TCC), along with OTA update capabilities. Benefiting from a low power draw, the iEP-5000G can easily withstand harsh industrial environments. The gateway boasts a rugged, fanless passively cooled design, with wide-range power inputs from 6-36VDC, a broad operating temperature range from -40 °C to 70 °C, and superior resistance to shock and vibration. Furthermore, this DIN rail gateway offers a simplified installation inside industrial control cabinets.
Despite it’s compact design, the iEP-5000G doesn’t fall short of connectivity options. With three gigabit ether ports as standard, expansion is also available for a multitude of wireless capabilities.
The latest M.2 expansion capabilities allow the Linux IoT Gateway to be integrated with 4G LTE or 5G modems with the addition of Wi-Fi 6E.
