Substation Computers and Gateways for Generation, Distribution and Renewables
Where Energy Monitoring Systems Are Deployed
Energy computing sits in four places: the substation, the solar or wind site, the remote asset that reports over cellular and the plant where acquisition data drives maintenance. Each has its own electrical environment, temperature range and connectivity, so the right platform differs from one to the next.
Fanless Substation Computers for Protection and Control
A substation computer runs the local HMI, the historian and the protocol gateway between relays and the control centre. Fanless DIN-rail and wall-mount computers with -40 to 70 degrees C operation, isolated serial ports and dual Ethernet for redundant networks run for years in an unmanned switchgear room, with wide-range DC input from the station battery.
Gateways for Photovoltaic Plants and Wind Turbines
Photovoltaic plant and wind turbine gateways collect inverter, tracker and turbine data over Modbus and CAN, run the local monitoring and send it to the operator’s platform. Low-power fanless gateways with serial and digital I/O, wide temperature range and PoE for site cameras sit in the inverter station or the turbine base, where the cabinet is small and unheated.
Cellular Computers for Remote Management
Cellular devices for remote management keep distributed assets reporting when there is no wired network: transformers, meters, cathodic protection and remote generation. Industrial cellular computers with integrated 4G, LTE and 5G modems and multi-SIM bonding act as intelligent routers and edge computers in one unit, so the site stays connected and the data stays local until it is needed.
Data Acquisition and Control for Predictive Maintenance
Predictive maintenance starts with acquisition: vibration, temperature, current and voltage sampled at the machine and analyzed at the edge. PC/104 and mini PCIe analog and digital I/O modules give an embedded computer the channels to read the plant directly, with isolated relay outputs for control and CAN and serial modules for the drives and meters.
Built Around the Interfaces Energy Systems Use
Energy hardware is specified by the interfaces it speaks and the environment it lives in: the station battery, the serial and Ethernet protocols, the cellular link and the acquisition channels. We select products whose datasheets state each one, and the cards below list the specifications that decide the build.

An Extension of Your Engineering Team
Our engineers work as part of your team, not as a reseller. We check the supply, protocols and channel count against the site before you commit to a build.
Built, Imaged and Ready to Deploy
Modules, memory, storage, modems and I/O cards are fitted and the OS image loaded before shipping, so each unit is tested as a complete build and ready to fit on the day it arrives.
Supported for the Life of the Asset
Repeatable builds, revision control and last-time-buy planning keep later units matching the first across an asset base that runs unattended for a decade or more.
