Smart Display Modules
Intel SDM-L Smart Display Modules for Large-Format Screens
A smart display module is a slot-in PC card built to Intel’s SDM specification: it plugs into a display’s SDM slot through a PCIe-style edge connector, so the screen carries its own computer with no box or cabling behind it. The SDM-L size takes full Core i3 to i7 processors, dual memory slots and a rear I/O bracket.
Options include 8K output through the slot connector, HDMI 2.1 on the bracket, 2.5GbE, NVMe storage, optional Wi-Fi and vPro processors for remote management, suited to video walls, large-format signage, control rooms and retail screens where the display vendor offers an SDM slot. For panels with the 80-pin JAE slot, see our OPS computers.
Speak to a smart display module specialist to match the processor, outputs and management options to your displays.

What to Specify in an SDM-L Smart Display Module
Our digital signage specialists check every smart display module against the display it slots into, the content it runs and how it will be managed. These are the choices we work through with you before recommending a module.
