01 Logistics and Warehousing Applications

Where Warehouse Computers Are Deployed

Warehouse computing sits in four places: the forklift and yard vehicle cab, the autonomous mobile robot and its fleet coordinator, the pick, palletising and sortation station, and the cold store and delivery vehicle. Each has its own power, vibration, temperature and wireless demands, so the right platform differs from one to the next.

Vehicle Mount Computers Running the WMS in the Cab

A forklift driver needs the warehouse management system, the scanner and the task list on one screen that survives the truck. Vehicle mount computers with 10.4 to 14-inch sunlight-readable touchscreens, IP65 sealing and a 9 to 36 V isolated input run the WMS client on Windows or Android, take a barcode scanner over USB or serial, and shut down cleanly on ignition so the truck battery is never drained overnight. Our vehicle mount computer upgrade for a towing operator shows the same hardware working across a heavy-duty fleet.

Built Around the Demands Warehouses Place on Hardware

Warehouse hardware is specified against the vehicle it rides on, the temperature of the store and the wireless network it roams across, not just the processor inside. We select products whose power input, sealing, mounting and radio options match the position on the floor, and say clearly where a product is rated for a chiller rather than a blast freezer.

9 to 36 V Vehicle Power and Ignition Control

Isolated wide-range DC input for forklift and truck electrics, with ignition sensing and a delayed shutdown so the computer closes the WMS cleanly and never drains the battery.

Sunlight-Readable Touchscreens for Gloves

High-brightness displays readable in the yard and under warehouse lighting, with PCAP touch tuned for gloved hands and resistive options where thick freezer gloves are worn.

Shock and Vibration

Fanless, cable-free designs and RAM mounts tested to MIL-STD-810 and IEC 60068 vibration profiles, for years on a forklift mast, a tow tractor or an AMR chassis.

Wide Temperature and Condensation

Operation from -25 degrees C for chillers and blast freezers, in sealed enclosures that shrug off the condensation of a move from the cold store to the warm despatch dock.

PoE and GMSL Camera Interfaces

PoE ports that power barcode-reading and dimensioning cameras from the computer, and GMSL inputs for the synchronized multi-camera perception an AMR needs.

Wi-Fi 6, 4G and 5G Roaming

Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with fast roaming across the racking, and 4G and 5G modems with multi-SIM for the yard, the delivery vehicle and sites without a wired network.

Warehouse-Ready Hardware

Four product types cover most logistics and warehousing projects. Open one to see the ranges we specify for the cab, the robot, the sortation station and the cold store, or go to the full category.

An Extension of Your Engineering Team

Our engineers work as part of your team, not as a reseller. We check the vehicle power, the mounting position, the temperature of the store and the wireless coverage against the site before you commit to a build.

Built, Imaged and Ready to Deploy

Memory, storage, modems and mounts are fitted and the OS image loaded before shipping, so each unit is tested as a complete build and arrives ready to bolt onto the truck or the robot.

Supported for the Life of the Fleet

Repeatable builds, revision control and last-time-buy planning keep later units matching the first across a fleet's operating life, so a replacement drops in without requalification.
