NVIS Displays

NVIS Monitors for Night-Vision Cockpits and Crew Stations

An NVIS display switches between a normal day mode and an NVIS mode that filters the light night-vision goggles amplify, so crews can read the screen at night without it blooming their goggles. Available from 8.4 to 21.5 inches in vehicle-mount and fully sealed builds.

Options include vehicle-mount housings and fully sealed IP67 housings designed to MIL-STD-3009 and MIL-STD-810G requirements, suited to armoured vehicles, helicopter cabins, naval bridges and ground stations operated under night-vision conditions.

We work with the leading manufacturers of night vision compatible displays, so the ranges below are the ones we specify for vehicles, aircraft and ships. Compare them by size, sealing and mounting, then browse the models above or ask a display specialist which range suits your platform.

What to Specify in a Night Vision Compatible Display

A night vision compatible display has to stay readable to crews wearing goggles without flooding them with light. NVIS class, military standards and sealing decide which model suits the vehicle or console.

Night Operation

Day and NVIS modes switched by the crew, with the NVIS class confirmed per model against the goggles in use.

Military Standards

Designed to MIL-STD-3009 and MIL-STD-810G requirements; confirm the tests your vehicle or vessel needs.

IP67 Sealing

Vehicle-mount builds or fully sealed IP67 housings for exposed positions on vehicles and decks.

Crew and Mission Screens

Smaller crew screens for cabs and larger mission displays for consoles, chosen to suit the station and the content.

Vehicle Power

Wide-range DC input on vehicle models; confirm the supply standard, such as MIL-STD-1275, per model.

Wide Dimming Range

A wide dimming range takes the screen from daylight readable down to the low levels needed for night operation.
