HDMI Matrix and SDI Distribution for Control Rooms and Studios
An HDMI matrix routes any input to any output, a splitter sends one source to several screens and a multiviewer shows several sources on one, so a control room or studio can put the right picture in front of the right person. The range covers a 4×4 HDMI 2.0 matrix at 4K60, four-output SDI, 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 splitters with reclocked outputs, a four-input SDI switcher and quad multiviewers for HDMI and SDI sources.
Options include audio embedding and de-embedding on the matrix, 1080p down-scaling on the HDMI splitter for older displays, genlock and a frame synchroniser on the SDI switcher, and picture-in-picture and on-screen display on the multiviewers, suited to control rooms, studios, outside broadcast and lecture venues where many sources and screens meet.

What to Specify in an HDMI Matrix Switcher

Inputs and Outputs

Format and Resolution
HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SDI units carry 4K60; 3G-SDI units and the multiviewers work at up to 1080p60.
Switching and Sync
A frame synchroniser and black burst or tri-level reference keep SDI switching clean on the switcher.
Audio
Embed or de-embed analog audio on the matrix, and carry up to 16 channels of SDI audio through the splitters.
