Yuan SDI Splitter 3G-SDI Splitter with Four Reclocked Outputs and 16-Channel Audio at 1080p60

A camera, playout server or vision mixer output often has to reach several places at once: a program monitor, a recorder, a capture PC and a feed to another room. The Yuan SDI Splitter is built for that job in broadcast, live production and pro AV installations. The SDI Splitter is a one-in, four-out reclocking distribution amplifier that takes a single 3G, HD or SD-SDI signal and delivers four restored copies.

There is one SDI input and four SDI loop-through outputs, each carrying the input format unchanged. Supported formats run from 1920 x 1080p at 60 and 50 fps on 3G-SDI, through 1080p30/25/24, 1080i60/50 and 720p60/50 on HD-SDI, to 480i and 576i on SD-SDI. Up to 16 channels of 24-bit, 48 kHz embedded audio travel with the picture. The unit detects the source format automatically, then reclocks and amplifies the signal so each output is restored rather than simply divided.

There are no settings to manage: the splitter is plug and play and runs from a 7.5V to 15V DC input in a compact standalone housing. For 4K sources, the 12G-SDI Splitter does the same job at up to 4096 x 2160p60, with eight audio channels rather than 16. Where the issue is a single long cable run rather than fan-out, the SDI Repeater reclocks one feed on its way, and the SC550N1-L SDI PCIe frame grabber can capture one of the outputs into a recording or analysis PC.

In practice the splitter sits close to the source in a rack or under a desk, feeding monitors and recorders over standard SDI cabling. We supply the SDI Splitter configured and tested with the sources, displays and recorders it will connect to, so it arrives ready to drop into the signal chain.
