Yuan Multiviewer QUAD HDMI Quad HDMI Multiviewer with PIP, PBP and SDI, HDMI and VGA Outputs at 1080p60

The Multiviewer QUAD HDMI is Yuan's HDMI multiviewer, combining four HDMI sources into Quadview, PIP or PBP layouts and sending the result to HDMI, VGA and two 3G-SDI outputs at up to 1080p. It suits control rooms, live production and monitoring desks where four feeds must be watched on one screen.

  • Four HDMI Inputs: Accepts four HDMI sources at up to 1080p60, plus PC formats from 1280 x 1024 down to 640 x 480.
  • Quadview, PIP and PBP: Shows all four sources in a quad split, picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture layout, or switches between them full screen.
  • HDMI, VGA and SDI Outputs: The combined picture leaves on HDMI, a D-Sub VGA port and two 3G/HD/SD-SDI outputs at the same time.
  • Independent Output Format: Output format is set separately from the inputs, with VGA running up to 1600 x 1200 for older monitors.
  • Panel Buttons and OSD: Layouts and sources are chosen with front-panel buttons and an on-screen display, and power is 7.5V to 15V DC.

Multiviewer QUAD HDMI Overview

Control rooms, live production desks and security or process monitoring positions often need to keep an eye on four sources without four screens. The Multiviewer QUAD HDMI from Yuan does that job for pro AV and broadcast monitoring. It is a four-input HDMI multiviewer that combines the sources into one layout and sends it to HDMI, VGA and SDI displays or recorders.

There are four HDMI inputs, accepting 1080p at 60/50 and 30/25/24 fps, 1080i, 720p, PC formats from 1280 x 1024 down to 640 x 480, and SD at 480 and 576 lines. Outputs are one HDMI, one D-Sub VGA and two SDI ports carrying 3G, HD or SD-SDI, all up/down converted. SDI and HDMI outputs run 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480i and 480p at 59 fps, and VGA runs up to 1600 x 1200. Two channels of HDMI audio at 24-bit, up to 192 kHz, pass through, with SDI audio at 48 kHz.

Layouts include Quadview, PIP, PBP and full-screen switching, chosen with front-panel buttons and an on-screen display. Input and output formats are independent, and power comes from a 7.5V to 15V DC input. For SDI sources, the Multiviewer QUAD SDI offers the same layouts with four 3G-SDI inputs and up to eight audio channels. When each source needs recording at full quality as well as viewing, the SC710N4T HDMI2.0 PCIe card captures four HDMI 2.0 inputs into one PC.

In practice the Multiviewer QUAD HDMI sits between the sources and a single monitoring display or recorder. We supply it configured and tested with the sources, displays and recorders it will connect to, with the layout and output format set for your room.
