The V3000 Basic leverages the AMD Ryzen Embedded V3C48 Processor, an advanced 6nm 8-core/16-thread CPU known for its exceptional performance and energy efficiency. Using its 20 lanes of PCIe Gen4 for enhanced storage, networking, and I/O speed, this Bedrock PC provides unparalleled performance for a compact, fanless Edge Server.
SolidRun's Bedrock V3000 Basic features 96 GB DDR5 ECC memory, three NVME Gen4 slots, dual 10 GbE SFP+ and four 2.5 GbE ports, WiFi 6E, 5G dual SIM modem, and four USB ports, all in a compact, fanless enclosure under 1 liter.
SolidRun V3000 enables efficient fanless cooling for hot chips. Heat is uniformly distributed through stacked heatpipes around the all-aluminum chassis. The chassis features dual-layer heat exchange walls: internal aluminum air-ducts enhance airflow via the chimney effect and an external layer of cooling ribs. This design allows Bedrock to dissipate more than triple the heat compared to similar-sized fanless computers.
Ensuring consistent cooling for secondary heat-generating components is crucial for industrial PCs to operate reliably around the clock, especially under intense storage or networking usage. To achieve this, all components that dissipate heat, such as the three NVMe drives, both SODIMMs, power FETs, network interface cards (NICs), SFP+ cages, WiFi adapter, and 5G modem, are thermally connected to the V3000 chassis.
Bedrock is built for reliability, with years of experience in IPC and embedded systems. It features a secure DC power connection, wide voltage range, ECC RAM, optional NVMe with PLP, redundant SPI Flash to prevent BIOS corruption, WDT, and TPM. The robust all-aluminum, fanless, and ventless enclosure provides IP40 dust resistance.
Bedrock V3000 is designed to address the diversity of requirements in the IoT space. This is achieved by partitioning the hardware into the following boards:SoM with the CPU, DDR5 and NVMe slots and all native interfaces on 380 pins of high density connectors. Networking and I/O board (NIO) with NICs and ports. Storage and Extension Cards board (SX) with slots for WiFi, 5G modem and extra NVMe devices. Power Module (PM) with DC to DC converter and DC input connector.
The compact size, sturdy structure, and efficient cooling of the V3000 simplifies integration. All I/O ports are on the front, with DC and antenna connections on top, and dedicated mounting areas on the bottom and rear. SolidRun offers several mounting options, including a locking DIN-Rail bracket, wall mount, and various stands.
Bedrock's fanless, ventless design requires no maintenance, with features like external SIM card access and a conveniently located remote power button. Mounting fixtures are externally assembled. If necessary, opening the SolidRun V3000 for upgrades or battery replacement is straightforward, requiring only the removal of a single screw.
