A COM Express SBC is a computer-on-module and carrier board supplied together as one rugged board, so it installs like a single board computer but keeps the upgrade path of a module.
Boards in the range are built for industrial and military environments, with wide temperature ratings, conduction cooling through bottom-mounted heat spreaders and latching I/O connectors.

What to Check in a Rugged COM Express SBC
A preassembled board removes the work of pairing a module and carrier, but the same choices still apply. The module type, processor and cooling decide where the board can go and how long it stays current. These are the points to check.
Module Type
Type 6 and Type 10 modules on the board set which displays, USB and PCIe lanes are available.
Processor

Conduction Cooling
