DisplayPort Capture Cards

DisplayPort Frame Grabbers for Workstation and Computer Video

A DisplayPort capture card records the output of workstations, graphics cards and high-resolution computers directly from their DisplayPort connector, without converting the signal first. Available as a DisplayPort 1.4a card for 8K30 and 4K120 capture and as a card that combines DisplayPort with HDMI 2.0 and DVI inputs.

Options include Windows and Linux SDKs, suited to simulation, training, medical and visualisation systems that need to record what a workstation shows.

DisplayPort Capture Card Ranges Configured by Things Embedded

We work with a leading manufacturer of DisplayPort capture cards, so the ranges below are the ones we specify for simulation, training and visualisation systems. Compare them by resolution and inputs, then browse the models above or ask a video capture specialist which range suits your system.

SC710, SC720 and SC750 Yuan 4K and 8K Capture Cards

SC710, SC720 and SC750 Yuan 4K and 8K Capture Cards

HDMI 2.0, HDMI 2.1, 12G-SDI, DisplayPort 1.4a and SDVoE capture at 4K60 and up to 8K on PCIe and M.2.

Not sure which range fits? Tell us the application and we will recommend the right model.

Explore Video Capture Cards by Signal and Form Factor

Compare every video capture category by signal, SDI and HDMI standard or form factor, and jump straight to the cards that fit your sources and host system.

What to Specify in a DisplayPort Capture Card

A DisplayPort capture card records high-resolution computer and workstation outputs, up to 8K on the latest cards. Most also accept HDMI or DVI on the same card, which helps with mixed sources.

DisplayPort Version

DisplayPort 1.4a cards capture up to 8K30; multi-format cards also take HDMI and DVI on the same board.

Resolution and HDR

4K60 and 8K capture, with HDR on selected cards for medical imaging, simulation and design review.

PCIe Slot and Lanes

PCIe cards need an x4 or wider slot for high-resolution capture. Check the lanes as well as the slot length.

Hardware Encoding

Onboard encoding on selected cards records and streams high-resolution video without loading the host CPU.

Jetson and Edge Hosts

Jetson support on selected cards lets workstation outputs feed AI and inspection software on an edge computer.

Drivers and SDK

Windows and Linux drivers and SDKs for recording, streaming and analysis software on the host computer.
