NXP i.MX Processors for Industrial Systems
NXP's i.MX applications processors are built for long-life industrial and automotive equipment. Each one pairs Arm Cortex-A application cores with Cortex-M real-time cores on the same chip, so Linux and a real-time control loop can run side by side, and industrial parts are covered by NXP's product longevity programme. The range runs from the i.MX 8M family for HMIs and multimedia to the i.MX 8M Plus with an NPU and the i.MX 94 with a built-in TSN Ethernet switch.

NXP i.MX 6Quad and 6DualLite Boards
The i.MX 6 family runs Cortex-A9 cores with 2D and 3D graphics and hardware video, and has shipped in point-of-sale terminals, HMIs and industrial displays for more than a decade. The quad-core 6Quad and dual-core 6DualLite suit long-life products that keep an existing Linux or Android stack, and the single-core Cortex-A7 6UL and 6ULL run low-power IoT gateways.

The i.MX 8M family covers three processors on Cortex-A53 cores with a Cortex-M real-time core: the i.MX 8M with 4K HDR video and HDMI, the i.MX 8M Mini for 1080p displays at lower power, and the i.MX 8M Nano for cost-sensitive HMIs. The i.MX 8M Plus adds a 2.3 TOPS NPU and two camera image signal processors to four Cortex-A53 cores and a Cortex-M7, with two Gigabit Ethernet ports (one with TSN) and two CAN FD buses. It is the i.MX choice for machine vision, smart cameras and connected machine controllers.

NXP i.MX 94 Boards for Industrial Networking
The i.MX 94 is the first i.MX processor with an Ethernet TSN switch built in, alongside up to four Cortex-A55 cores, two Cortex-M33 and two Cortex-M7 real-time cores and an eIQ Neutron NPU. It is designed for industrial gateways, PLCs and motion controllers on Profinet, EtherCAT or OPC UA networks.
