FCCVPC-101RA1S-OB Overview
Where a screen faces strong daylight from a cab window or an outdoor kiosk, buyers often specify optical bonding as well as high brightness. The Sintrones VPC-101RA1S-OB is the optically bonded build of the VPC-101RA1S series: a 10.1 inch panel PC with the touch glass bonded directly to the panel. Everything else matches the air-bonded VPC-101RA1S, so the choice comes down to the display specification for the installation.
The 10.1″ panel is 1280 x 800 at 1,000 nits typical, with an 800:1 contrast ratio, 178° viewing angles and a 50,000-hour rated lifetime. Projected capacitive touch carries anti-glare and anti-fingerprint treatment and an IK08 impact rating. Compute comes from the NXP i.MX 8QuadXPlus automotive SoC, rated AEC-Q100 Grade 3, with four Arm Cortex-A35 cores at up to 1.2 GHz, a Cortex-M4F core at up to 264 MHz and a GC7000Lite GPU, alongside 4 GB of LPDDR4, 32 GB of eMMC 5.1, Micro SD and Yocto Linux. Built-in accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetic sensors add motion data.
I/O on the VPC-101RA1S-OB covers two GbE ports, two USB 3.0 (5 Gbps) ports, one RS-232/422/485 and one RS-232 port on DB9, line-out, mic-in and a USB Type-C service port for firmware updates. Three CAN FD ports and 8x DI plus 4x DO are optional. An M.2 3042/3052 Key B slot with nano SIM, an M.2 2242 Key B slot and an M.2 2230 Key E slot take optional WWAN, GNSS and Wi-Fi modules, with six SMA antenna holes in the housing.
The VPC-101RA1S-OB runs on 9 to 60 V DC with ignition detection and full input protection. It is rated from -30 °C to 70 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow, with IEC 60068-2-64 and MIL-STD-810H vibration, MIL-STD-810H shock and CE, FCC Class A and UKCA compliance. It measures 262 x 180 x 52 mm, mounts by VESA or into a panel cutout, and has a front IP66 frame. We supply it configured and tested, with the operating system image and any optional modules fitted, and it is available to order. For a display only, the VDM-101HD pairs with a separate Sintrones computer.
