Where Digital Signage Hardware Is Deployed

Signage hardware lives in four places: the retail store, the transport hub, the outdoor site and the self-service kiosk. Each sets its own duty cycle, brightness and form factor, so the right player and display differ from one to the next.

Smart Retail Relies On Edge AI Gateways

Fanless Media Players and Shelf-Edge Displays in Store

In-store screens run 16/7 from a fanless digital signage player mounted behind the display or in the ceiling void, with dual or quad 4K HDMI outputs driving a video wall from one unit. Stretched displays fit shelf edges and above the counter, square displays sit in window and endcap positions, and edge AI gateways add footfall and dwell analytics to the same hardware.

Built Around the Specifications Signage Demands

Signage hardware is specified by duty cycle, brightness, touch and outputs rather than by processor alone. We select products whose datasheets state each one, and the cards below list the specifications that decide the build.

16/7 and 24/7 Duty Ratings

Commercial displays rated for 16 hours a day and industrial displays rated for continuous operation; the rating decides the panel, backlight and warranty.

High Brightness and Sunlight Readability

700 nits for indoor glare, 1000 nits for windows and 2500 nits for direct sun, with optical bonding and anti-reflective glass where the screen faces the light.

Touch Technology

PCAP for multi-touch and gloves, resistive for wet fingers and styluses, infrared for large formats, with vandal-resistant glass on public screens.

Open Frame and Embedded Kits

Open frame displays and embedded LCD kits with mounting brackets and controller boards, for building a screen into a kiosk, totem or enclosure.

4K HDMI and Video Walls

Players with two, three or four HDMI outputs that drive tiled and stretched layouts from one unit, with hardware decode for 4K content.

Edge AI Analytics

Footfall, dwell and demographic analytics running on an edge AI gateway beside the player, with no video leaving the store.

02 Signage Projects and Guides

Signage Case Studies and Guides

See how we help retailers, transport operators and kiosk OEMs deploy signage hardware, and read our guides to brightness, touch and display choices.

An Extension of Your Engineering Team

Our engineers work as part of your team, not as a reseller. We check the outputs, brightness and mounting against the site before you commit to a build.

Built, Imaged and Ready to Deploy

Players are fitted with memory and storage, imaged with your content management software and tested on the display before shipping, so each unit is ready to hang on the day it arrives.

Supported for the Life of the Estate

Repeatable builds, revision control and last-time-buy planning keep later screens matching the first as a signage estate rolls out store by store.
