Giada PC612 Intel 12th Gen Core OPS Modules with 8K Output

Many interactive panel projects need a dependable Windows 11 or Linux PC in the slot rather than the newest processor, with 8K output, the usual USB ports and marks that suit UK installation. The Giada PC612 series is a range of 12th Gen Intel Core OPS modules built to the Open Pluggable Specification. Each module slides into the OPS slot of a flat panel or signage display and connects through an 80-pin JAE connector. Because the PC sits inside the panel, it can usually be swapped later without taking the display down from the wall.

Every PC612 uses a 15 W Alder Lake U-series processor, which keeps heat low in the enclosed slot. The JAE connector carries DisplayPort 1.4 at up to 7680 x 4320, plus HDMI, audio, one USB 3.2 Gen2, two USB 2.0 and a UART, so the panel can use the module for touch, audio and control as well as video. Two SO-DIMM slots take up to 32 GB of DDR4-3200, one M.2 M-Key socket holds a 2242 or 2280 SSD, and a watchdog timer and auto power-on help panels recover on their own.

The PC612 range splits by processor. The PC612-1215U uses the Core i3-1215U with six cores, eight threads and Intel UHD Graphics, a good fit for content playback and presentation. The PC612-1235U moves to the Core i5-1235U with 10 cores, 12 threads and Intel Iris Xe graphics, and the PC612-1255U uses the Core i7-1255U with the same core count and Iris Xe graphics for heavier multi-application work. All three share the same chassis, ports and JAE outputs, so the choice comes down to the content you plan to run.

In practice the PC612 series suits classroom and meeting-room panels, corporate and retail signage and 8K display installations. Each Giada module has a front HDMI port at up to 4096 x 2160, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen2, two USB 3.2 Gen2, two USB 2.0, Intel i219LM Gigabit Ethernet and an M.2 E-Key socket for an optional Wi-Fi 5 or Wi-Fi 6 module, with optional TPM 2.0. Power is 12 V to 19 V DC through the JAE connector or a DC jack, the rated range is 0 °C to 45 °C with humidity up to 95% non-condensing, and Giada lists CE, FCC Class B and UKCA.
