FCCGNX-0500 Overview
Many machines and control panels need only a few Ethernet connections, such as a PLC, an HMI and a drive or two, with nothing to configure. The GNX-0500 is the standard temperature build in the Antaira GNX-0500 series series: a five-port Fast Ethernet unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch rated -10 °C to 70 °C for indoor or heated cabinets.
It has five 10/100Base-T(X) RJ45 ports with auto negotiation, auto MDI/MDI-X and full or half duplex, for PLCs, HMIs, cameras and uplinks on Cat.5e or better cable up to 100 m. Switching is unmanaged and store-and-forward, on a 1 Gbps switching fabric and a 1K MAC address table, with IEEE 802.3x flow control and IEEE 802.1p class of service. DIP switches turn on broadcast storm protection and QoS; otherwise there is nothing to set up.
Power arrives on a single 9.6 to 60 V DC input through a removable 3-pin terminal block. That wide range lets the switch run from a 12, 24 or 48 V DC cabinet supply. Reverse polarity and overload current protection are built in, and the GNX-0500 draws 1.232 W at full load. ESD protection reaches 6 kV contact and 8 kV air, with EFT and surge to 2 kV.
The GNX-0500 operates from -10 °C to 70 °C in a slim IP30 metal housing for DIN rail or wall mounting, with shock, vibration and free fall tested to EN 60068-2-27, -2-6 and -2-31. It complies with UL 62368-1 (MET) and carries LVD, CE and FCC Class A marks; Antaira lists it as TAA and NDAA compliant and backs it with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. The GNX-0500-T is the same switch rated -40 °C to 75 °C, the GNX-0500G moves every port to Gigabit, and the GNP-0500 adds PoE+ on four ports from a 90 W budget.
