Outdoor surveillance and telecom cabinets with 16 Gigabit devices need a switch that runs from -40 °C, with dual power feeds and an alarm relay. The GNX-1600G-T is the extended temperature build in the Antaira GNX-1600G series series: a 16-port Gigabit unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated outdoor enclosures.
It has 16 10/100/1000Base-T(X) RJ45 ports with auto negotiation, auto MDI/MDI-X and full or half duplex, for PLCs, HMIs, cameras and uplinks on Cat.5e or better cable up to 100 m. Switching is unmanaged and store-and-forward, on a 32 Gbps switching fabric and an 8K MAC address table, with IEEE 802.3x flow control and 9 KB jumbo frames. There is nothing to set up.
Power arrives on dual redundant 12 to 56 V DC inputs through a removable 6-pin terminal block, so a second supply can take over if the first fails. An alarm relay contact rated 1 A at 24 V DC flags a lost feed to a PLC or alarm panel. Reverse polarity and overload current protection are built in, and the GNX-1600G-T draws 10.64 W at full load. ESD protection reaches 6 kV contact and 8 kV air, with EFT and surge to 2 kV.
The GNX-1600G-T operates from -40 °C to 75 °C in an IP50 aluminium housing for DIN rail or wall mounting, with shock, vibration and free fall tested to EN 60068-2-27, -2-6 and -2-31. It complies with UL 62368-1 (MET) and carries LVD, CE and FCC Class A marks; Antaira lists it as TAA and NDAA compliant and backs it with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. The GNX-1600G is the same switch rated -10 °C to 70 °C, the GNX-1600-T is the Fast Ethernet equivalent where 100 Mbps is enough, and the GNP-1600G-T adds PoE+ on 16 ports from a 300 W budget.
