Antaira LMP-2804G-4XS-24-T 28-Port 10G Managed Rackmount Industrial Switch with 24x PoE+, 4x 10G SFP+, 12-55V DC Input and -40 to 75 °C

A rack in an unheated building or shelter that only has a 12 or 24 V DC supply still needs to route traffic and power its cameras. The LMP-2804G-4XS-24-T is the low-voltage, extended temperature model in the Antaira LMP-2804G-4XS-24 series, a 28-port Layer 3 managed industrial PoE+ switch for the rack, with 24 PoE+ ports and four 1G/2.5G/10G SFP+ slots, running on 12 to 55 V DC.

Twenty-four 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports support IEEE 802.3at/af PoE+ at up to 30 W per port. Antaira rates the PoE budget by input voltage: 150 W at 12 V DC, 300 W at 24 V DC and 720 W at 48 to 55 V DC, managed by its iPoE budget control, so the supply sets the usable PoE. The four SFP+ slots run at 1, 2.5 or 10 Gbps with single-mode or multi-mode modules. Switching runs on a 128 Gbps fabric with a 32K MAC table, a 32 Mbit packet buffer and 10K jumbo frames.

Full Layer 3 routing covers static routes, OSPFv2/v3, RIPv2/RIPng and VRRPv2/v3, so the switch can route between subnets and share a gateway. ITU-T G.8032 ERPS, STP, RSTP, MSTP and LACP handle redundancy, and VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping and Modbus TCP cover daily management. RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, ACLs and IP Source Guard secure access. Redundant 12 to 55 V DC inputs have overload current and reverse polarity protection, and a 24 V DC, 1 A relay contact reports faults.

The LMP-2804G-4XS-24-T runs fanless in an IP30 metal case for a 19-inch rack and draws 40.5 W itself, with a Telcordia MTBF of 140,430 hours. Antaira lists FCC, CE, UL 61010-1 and UL Class 1 Division 2 approvals, states NDAA and TAA compliance and covers it with its 5-year warranty. The LMP-2804G-4XS-24 is the -10 °C to 65 °C model, and the LMP-2804G-4XS-T is the 48 V model at this rating. We supply and specify the switch, and can pre-configure IP addressing, VLANs, routing and ring settings on request.
