Antaira LMX-0800-T 8-Port Fast Ethernet Managed Industrial Network Switch with -40 to 75 °C

Outstations on power, water and oil and gas sites usually run their controllers at 100 Mbps, but the cabinets themselves can see hard frosts and hot summers. The LMX-0800-T is the extended temperature build in the Antaira LMX-0800 series: an eight-port managed Fast Ethernet switch for DIN rail, rated -40 °C to 75 °C.

It has eight 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports with auto-negotiation and auto MDI, switching store-and-forward with an 8K MAC address table and a 4 Mbit packet buffer. This is a Layer 2 managed switch: IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, 802.1p QoS with CoS/ToS, IGMP v1/v2 snooping for up to 256 groups, LACP port trunking, LLDP, RMON, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP Option 66/67/82, Modbus TCP and 802.1X with HTTPS and SSH/SSL. Ring redundancy uses ITU-T G.8032 ERPS with recovery in under 50 ms, alongside STP, RSTP and MSTP, and the switch can send automatic warnings by e-mail or relay output when an exception occurs.

Power arrives on 12 to 48 V DC redundant inputs on a removable 6-contact terminal block, and the switch draws up to 15 W. Overload current and reverse polarity protection and a CPU watchdog are built in, and Antaira gives the switch high EFT and ESD protection with EMS testing to IEC 61000-4-2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8. Set-up runs through the web console, Telnet or CLI, with an RS232 console port on RJ45 and a USB 2.0 port for configuration backup.

The LMX-0800-T sits in an IP30 metal case for DIN rail mounting, with wall mounting as an option. It is UL 61010-1 certified, carries FCC and CE marks, is RoHS compliant and comes with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. The LMX-0800 is the same switch rated -10 °C to 70 °C, and the LMX-0800G-T moves all eight ports to gigabit at the same rating.
