FCCLMX-1802G-SFP-T Overview
Outdoor cabinets in power and utility, oil and gas and ITS networks often gather 16 copper devices and then hand the traffic to a fibre ring that crosses the site. The LMX-1802G-SFP-T is the extended temperature build of the Antaira LMX-1802G-SFP series: an 18-port managed industrial Ethernet switch rated -40 °C to 75 °C.
Sixteen 10/100/1000Tx RJ45 ports auto-negotiate speed and duplex with auto MDI/MDI-X, and two 100/1000 SFP slots take fibre transceivers, so the mode and reach follow the module chosen. With one slot facing each direction, the two SFP ports suit a fibre ring. Switching is store-and-forward on a 36 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC table and 9.6K jumbo frames, and ITU-T G.8032 ERPS restores a broken ring in under 50 ms. An RS232 console in RJ45 and USB 2.0 configuration backup help on site.
Light Layer 3 on the LMX-1802G-SFP-T means static routes and DHCP option 82, so it can pass traffic between subnets and relay addressing requests without a separate router. The firmware also covers VLAN with 4095 groups, QoS with DSCP, IGMP and MLD snooping, LACP, LLDP, sFlow, RMON and Modbus TCP for SCADA polling, with 802.1X, SNMP v3, HTTPS and SSHv2 securing access. Power arrives on redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs through removable terminal blocks, and the switch draws 16.1 W with overload current and reverse polarity protection. We can pre-configure IP addressing, VLANs and ring settings before it ships.
The LMX-1802G-SFP-T operates from -40 °C to 75 °C and stores from -40 °C to 85 °C, so it suits unheated outdoor enclosures without a cabinet heater. It sits in an IP30 metal housing for DIN rail or wall mounting, with IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration listed. Antaira lists FCC, CE, UL 61010-1, NEMA TS2 and IEC 61850-3 Edition 2.0 for substations, and the switch is RoHS compliant with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. The LMX-1802G-SFP is the standard temperature build rated -10 °C to 70 °C, and the LMP-1802G-SFP adds 802.3at PoE+ to the 16 copper ports with a 240 W budget.
