Fibre aggregation points in power and utility, oil and gas and ITS networks often sit in outdoor cabinets, gathering links from several remote enclosures. The LMX-2012G-SFP-T is the extended temperature build of the Antaira LMX-2012G-SFP series: a 20-port managed industrial switch with 12 fibre slots, rated -40 °C to 75 °C.
Twelve 100/1000 SFP slots take single-mode or multi-mode transceivers, so each fibre run can use the mode and reach it needs, and eight 10/100/1000Tx RJ45 ports with auto MDI/MDI-X serve local devices. Switching is store-and-forward on a 40 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC table, eight priority queues and 9.6K jumbo frames. ITU-T G.8032 ERPS restores a broken ring in under 50 ms, with STP, RSTP and MSTP for other layouts. An RS232 console in RJ45 and USB 2.0 configuration backup help on site.
Light Layer 3 on the LMX-2012G-SFP-T means static routes and DHCP option 82, so it can pass traffic between subnets and relay addressing requests without a separate router. The firmware also covers VLAN with 4095 groups, QoS with DSCP, IGMP and MLD snooping, LACP, LLDP, sFlow, RMON and Modbus TCP for SCADA polling, with 802.1X, SNMP v3, HTTPS and SSHv2 securing access. Power arrives on redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs through removable terminal blocks, and the switch draws 19 W with overload current and reverse polarity protection. We can pre-configure IP addressing, VLANs and ring settings before it ships.
The LMX-2012G-SFP-T operates from -40 °C to 75 °C and stores from -40 °C to 85 °C, so it suits unheated outdoor enclosures without a cabinet heater. It sits in an IP30 metal housing for DIN rail or wall mounting, with IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration listed. Antaira lists FCC, CE, UL 61010-1 and NEMA TS2, with a 24 V DC, 1 A relay output and slow-blow fuse overload protection, and the switch is RoHS compliant with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. The LMX-2012G-SFP is the standard temperature build rated -10 °C to 65 °C, and the LMP-2012G-SFP adds 802.3at PoE+ to the eight copper ports with a 240 W budget.
