The LMX-3228G-10G-SFP-AD is the AC and DC power build of the Antaira LMX-3228G-10G-SFP series: a 32-port managed rackmount fibre aggregation switch with 24 SFP slots, four 10G SFP+ slots and four gigabit RJ45 ports, powered by AC plus -48 V DC.

LMX-3228G-10G-SFP-AD Overview

Some sites have both mains and a -48 V DC supply, and a switch that can draw on either keeps the fibre backbone up if one source fails. The LMX-3228G-10G-SFP-AD is the AC and DC power build of the Antaira LMX-3228G-10G-SFP series: a 32-port managed rackmount industrial switch built as a backbone fibre aggregation switch, with 24 SFP slots and four 10G SFP+ slots.

Twenty-four 100/1000 SFP slots gather fibre runs, four 1G/10G SFP+ slots carry 10 Gbps uplinks to the core, and four 10/100/1000Tx RJ45 ports serve local equipment, with the transceiver setting the mode and reach of each run. Switching is store-and-forward on a 136 Gbps fabric with a 32K MAC table, a 32 Mbit packet buffer and 10K jumbo frames. STP, RSTP and MSTP handle redundant paths, and LACP link aggregation adds bandwidth between switches.

Switching is Layer 2 managed, with DHCP option 82 relay. The firmware covers 4K VLAN groups with voice, private and MAC-based VLANs, eight priority queues per port, storm control, IGMP snooping with MVR, port mirroring with RSPAN, and RMON, LLDP and syslog, with 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, ACLs, IP source guard, SSHv2, HTTPS and SNMP v3 securing access. We can pre-configure IP addressing and VLANs before delivery.

Power comes from one 100 to 240 V AC supply and one 18 to 60 V DC (-48 V) supply, so the switch can keep running from either source, and the LMX-3228G-10G-SFP-AD draws up to 60 W. It operates from 0 °C to 50 °C with 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity, which suits heated equipment rooms and indoor cabinets, and stores from -25 °C to 70 °C. The metal housing is a 1U 19-inch rackmount design, and Antaira backs it with a 5-year warranty. The LMX-3228G-10G-SFP-AA uses two AC supplies instead, and the LMX-3228G-10G-SFP-AC uses a single AC supply.
