Antaira LNX-C800-T 8-Port Compact Fast Ethernet Unmanaged Industrial Ethernet Switch with -40 to 75 °C

Outdoor cabinets for traffic systems, utilities and water treatment are usually small, unheated and full of equipment, yet still need several Ethernet links. The LNX-C800-T is the extended temperature model in the Antaira LNX-C800 series, rated -40 °C to 75 °C: an eight-port Fast Ethernet unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch in a small metal case.

All eight 10/100BaseTx RJ45 ports auto-negotiate speed and duplex and support auto MDI/MDI-X. The switch forwards store-and-forward on a 1.6 Gbps fabric with a 1K MAC address table, a 448 Kbit packet buffer and IEEE 802.3x flow control. It is unmanaged, so a technician can fit a replacement without a laptop or a saved configuration.

Two 12 to 48 V DC inputs on a removable 6-contact terminal block provide redundant power, and the switch draws 2.2 W, which leaves headroom on a small cabinet supply. Reverse polarity protection and a slow-blow overload fuse guard against wiring mistakes, and LEDs show both power inputs and a fault indicator, so a visiting technician can confirm both supplies at a glance.

The IP30 metal case mounts on a DIN rail, or on a wall as an option, and is rated to IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration. Antaira lists FCC, CE, RoHS and UL 61010-1 certification for the LNX-C800-T and covers it with its 5-year warranty, naming factory automation, ITS, power and utility, and water and wastewater treatment plants as applications. The LNX-C800 is the standard build rated -10 °C to 65 °C, and the LNX-C800G-T offers eight gigabit ports at the same extended rating.
