ASRock Industrial iEP-7041E-020 Intel Arrow Lake Core Ultra 5 225H DIN-Rail Embedded PC with 2.5GbE and Wi-Fi Option

Control cabinets often still need serial links to meters and drives alongside Ethernet and a little AI at the edge. The ASRock Industrial iEP-7041E-020 is the base build of the iEP-7041E series, a fanless DIN-rail embedded PC with three 2.5GbE ports, three serial ports and 4DI/4DO, plus an M.2 socket for optional Wi-Fi. It keeps the I/O simple for projects without PoE, cellular or isolated DIO.

The Intel Core Ultra 5 225H is a 14-core Arrow Lake-H processor rated at 28 W, with Intel Arc graphics and an integrated NPU for dedicated AI acceleration, so the iEP-7041E-020 can run edge AI inference next to control, logging or HMI software. Two DDR5 5600 SO-DIMM sockets take up to 96 GB with Intel In-Band ECC, and an M.2 2280 Key M socket on PCIe Gen4 takes NVMe storage. ASRock Industrial supports Windows 11 and Linux.

Networking is three Intel I226-IT ports at up to 2.5 Gbps. The rest of the I/O covers one HDMI 2.0b and one VGA output, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 2.0 port, three RS-232/422/485 ports, 4DI/4DO on a D-sub connector, and line-out and mic-in audio. An M.2 Key E socket takes an optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module, and a watchdog timer, Intel In-Band Manageability and TPM 2.0 are built in. AT or ATX power-on behaviour is set by a jumper inside, which suits cabinets where the unit should start as soon as power returns.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC, with an optional 120 W adapter, on two three-pin terminal blocks for redundant feeds, with over-voltage, under-voltage and over-current protection plus 80 V surge protection. The iEP-7041E-020 runs fanless from -25 °C to 50 °C with airflow, is tested to 5 Grms vibration and 100 G shock, and carries CE and FCC Class A marks. Mounting is wall, VESA or DIN rail. We supply it configured and tested, with memory, NVMe storage and the OS image fitted. The iEP-7041E-021 adds two PoE ports, and the iEP-7040E-020 is the same build with a Core Ultra 7 255H.
