Axiomtek GOT715S 15″ EN 50155 S3 Railway Panel PC with Intel Atom E3845 and 800 Nit LCD

Where a train HMI shows maps, camera tiles or several systems at once, a 10 or 12 inch screen runs out of room. The GOT715S is Axiomtek’s 15 inch railway panel PC, with an Intel Atom E3845, an 800 nit sunlight readable XGA touch screen and EN 50155 Class S3 20 ms power interruption protection, and it is designed to comply with EN 50155.

The Intel Atom E3845 runs at up to 1.91 GHz with 4 GB of onboard DDR3L memory and 16 GB of onboard flash, with the second PCI Express Mini Card slot reserved for mSATA storage, which suits train operator status displays, speed, temperature and security monitoring and fleet management. Windows 10 IoT, Windows 10 or 7 and WES7 are available as optional installs. The display is an XGA LCD at 1024 x 768 with an 800 nit LED backlight, 178° viewing angles and auto-dimming, so it reads well from off to the side. The 5-wire resistive touch works with gloves.

I/O is built for rail wiring: two isolated M12 X-coded Gigabit Ethernet ports, one M12 A-coded connector carrying two USB 2.0 ports and two isolated M12 A-coded RS-232/422/485 ports, plus an isolated DB9 CANbus port and a terminal-block DIO with six inputs and two outputs, all isolated to 1.5 kV. A DB15 connector carries line-in, mic-in and speaker-out or line-out, and optional 3G+GPS and Wi-Fi kits are available. The GOT712S is the 12.1 inch Class S3 model with -40 °C operation, and the GOT710S-837 is the 10.4 inch Class S3 model at 1000 nits.

Power is a typical 24 to 110 V DC on an M12 A-coded connector. The GOT715S is fanless, operates from -25 °C to 70 °C at 10 to 95% humidity, and pairs an IP65 aluminium front bezel with IP40 rear protection. It carries CE and FCC Class A marks. It measures 400 x 300 x 61.5 mm, weighs 4.03 kg and fits a wall mount or a VESA 100 mount.
