Forecr MILBOX-AGXMAX-64I NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Industrial Rugged Military-Grade Computer with 10GbE

The MILBOX-AGXMAX-64I is the Jetson AGX Orin Industrial model in the Forecr MILBOX-AGXMAX series, an industrial rugged military-grade computer with 10GbE. Its Industrial module extends operation down to -40°C, where its siblings stop at -25°C, for cold-climate vehicles, high-altitude aircraft and exposed marine installations.

  • Jetson AGX Orin Industrial: The NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Industrial module runs AI inference and sensor fusion on the edge, without relying on cloud connectivity.
  • -40°C to +70°C Operation: The Industrial module extends the operating range down to -40°C, compared with -25°C for the standard AGX Orin models.
  • 10G Ethernet Uplink: One 10G Ethernet port and three Gigabit Ethernet ports move video streams and AI results across vehicle networks at high bandwidth.
  • Isolated Field I/O: Four RS-232/422 serial ports, two CAN bus ports and eight 3.3V digital I/O lines sit on the isolated side.
  • MIL-STD and IP67 Design: Designed to meet MIL-STD-1275/704, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and IP67, powered from a 12-36 VDC input at 28 VDC nominal.

MILBOX-AGXMAX-64I Overview

Cold-weather vehicles, high-altitude aircraft and exposed sensor masts face temperatures that standard embedded modules are not rated for, yet they still need AI processing and fast networking on board. The MILBOX-AGXMAX-64I is a military-grade computer for those conditions, built by Forecr around the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Industrial module as the extended-temperature model of the MILBOX-AGXMAX series.

The Jetson AGX Orin Industrial module handles perception, sensor fusion and video analytics locally, so the MILBOX-AGXMAX-64I can make real-time decisions without relying on a cloud link. The software stack is Ubuntu Linux 20.04 or 22.04 with JetPack 5.x or 6.x, giving development teams the standard NVIDIA toolchain for model deployment and updates.

Networking pairs 1x 10G Ethernet with 3x Gigabit Ethernet for high-bandwidth video and sensor traffic. On the isolated side sit 4x RS-232/422 serial ports, 2x CAN bus and 8x digital I/O at 3.3V level, with 2x USB 3.0 and 2x USB 2.0 alongside. Display output is 1x HDMI with an optional 3G-SDI output, and four configurable BNC connectors plus a camera expansion connector accept 4x SDI, 4x GMSL2 or 4x analog video inputs as build options. Two M.2 Key-M 2280 slots and an SD card slot provide storage and expansion, and power comes from a 12-36 VDC input.

With the Industrial module, the MILBOX-AGXMAX-64I operates from -40°C to +70°C. The IP67 enclosure is designed to meet MIL-STD-1275/704, MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461, and the military-grade computer carries no wireless interface. Forecr lists defence, aerospace, marine and transportation as target sectors. Where -25°C is a low enough limit, the MILBOX-AGXMAX-64S offers the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 64GB in the same build.

Official Forecr UK Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Forecr UK distributor, supplying Forecr's rugged and industrial NVIDIA Jetson range across the UK. For tactical systems built around video capture, the MILBOX-AGX-SDI focuses on SDI inputs on the same AGX Orin module family. The RAIBOX-AGX takes AGX Orin into EN 50155 railway installations, and the MILBOX-THR moves to Jetson AGX Thor for programmes whose AI models need more memory and compute than AGX Orin provides, together with four 10G Ethernet ports and isolated CAN FD.

Across our catalogue the MILBOX-AGXMAX-64I belongs with our wide temperature computers, since its Industrial module runs down to -40°C. It also sits among our rugged Jetson computers for vibration, shock and water exposure, and within our Jetson AGX Orin computers as the cold-climate choice of the module family. Its 10G Ethernet uplink and isolated CAN bus, serial and digital I/O stay identical to the standard models, so one integration design can cover both temperate and arctic deployments.
