Giada D108-7640HS AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS 4K Media Player with Quad HDMI EDID and Dual LAN

Video walls and multi-screen displays tend to show their weak point when a screen is power-cycled and the player loses its layout. The Giada D108-7640HS is a 4K media player with four HDMI outputs and hardware EDID emulation, so each output keeps its resolution when a display goes off and comes back. It is part of the D108 series with the D108-8845HS, and for lighter quad-screen work the DM6-R offers four HDMI outputs on an AMD Ryzen Embedded processor.

The AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS is a Ryzen 7040 series processor with six cores and 12 threads at a 45 W base power, and its Radeon 760M graphics drive four HDMI 2.0a outputs at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz. The NPU is rated at 10 TOPS, which can run AI features such as audience analytics where your software supports them. Two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM slots take up to 96 GB, an M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot holds the SSD, and TPM is optional. On the D108-7640HS a smart fan provides active cooling.

Networking is one Gigabit port on a Realtek RTL8111H and one 2.5GbE port on an Intel I226-V, so content updates and a control network can sit on separate links. There are five USB 3.2 Gen2 ports and one USB 2.0 port, one RS232 port on DB9 for screen control, plus mic-in and audio-out. An M.2 E-Key slot takes an optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module and an M.2 B-Key slot with SIM takes an optional 4G module, with antenna connectors provided for both.

The D108-7640HS runs from 0 °C to 45 °C with 0.7 m/s airflow from a 19 V DC input on a lockable connector, so the lead stays put. Giada lists CE, FCC Class B and UKCA, an optional VESA kit mounts the player behind a screen, and Windows 11 and Ubuntu Linux are supported.
