Giada DN83 Rockchip RK3528A Android Media Player with 4K HDMI and Onboard Wi-Fi

Most signage screens only ever show one stream of content, and a player sized to that job keeps cost and power down. The Giada DN83 is a fanless Android media player on the Rockchip RK3528A, with one 4K HDMI output, onboard Wi-Fi and an optional 4G slot. For two screens and an NPU, the DN84-4G uses the Rockchip RK3576, and the DN25 offers two 4K HDMI outputs on a Raspberry Pi CM5 for Raspberry Pi OS deployments.

The RK3528A has four Cortex-A53 cores at a 6 W TDP with Mali-450MP2 graphics. On the DN83 that drives one HDMI output at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz with HDR10 and HLG, which suits bright, high-contrast video and stills. It runs Android 13 with 2 GB of onboard LPDDR4 and 32 GB of eMMC, with 64 GB of eMMC optional for larger content libraries.

Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are onboard, and one Gigabit Ethernet port is there for wired content updates. An M.2 B-Key slot with a SIM socket takes an optional 4G module, with a reserved antenna position for it. One USB 3.2 Gen1 port, one USB 2.0 OTG port and two USB 2.0 ports cover USB media and touch overlays, one RS232 port on DB9 handles screen control, and mic-in and audio-out carry sound. A Kensington lock slot helps secure the player in public spaces.

The DN83 is fanless and runs from 0 °C to 45 °C with 0.7 m/s airflow and up to 95% non-condensing humidity, from a 12 V DC adapter, with auto power-on so it restarts when power returns. Giada lists CE, FCC Class B and UKCA, and an optional VESA kit mounts it behind a display. We supply it with its Android image loaded and the player tested before it ships.
