Neousys Nuvis-7306RT Intel 9th/8th Gen Core Machine Vision Controllers with Real-Time I/O and GPU Slots

A vision inspection cell needs more than a PC: cameras have to be triggered at exactly the right moment from a conveyor encoder, lights have to strobe with them, and reject actuators have to fire within microseconds. The Neousys Nuvis-7306RT is a machine vision controller that does all of that in one fanless-CPU chassis, with the timing handled by a dedicated microcontroller rather than the operating system. That keeps trigger and strobe jitter low even when Windows or Linux is busy with image processing, and removes the separate PLC or trigger box many cells still use. The result is a single controller to install, wire and maintain at each inspection station on the line.

The processor is an Intel 9th or 8th Gen Core i7 or i5 at 35 W or 65 W on the Q370 chipset, with AMT 12.0, TPM 2.0 and up to 64 GB of DDR4-2666. A cassette with two PCIe x16 Gen3 slots (eight lanes each) takes an NVIDIA GPU of up to 120 W for deep learning inspection, or a CameraLink or CoaXPress frame grabber, cooled by its own fans.

There are two versions, which share the same hardware and differ in their real-time firmware. The Nuvis-7306RT-DTIO runs Neousys DTIO V2, and the Nuvis-7306RT-NuMCU runs NuMCU. Both drive a 4-channel LED lighting controller (constant current up to 2 A per channel or constant voltage at 24 V, with 100 kHz dimming), four isolated 12 V camera trigger outputs, a quadrature encoder input, eight isolated high-speed inputs, and four high-speed and four high-current isolated outputs.

Both also have six GbE ports by Intel I219 and I210 controllers, four of them IEEE 802.3at PoE+ for GigE cameras, four USB 3.1 Gen 2 and four Gen 1 ports, VGA, DVI-D and 4K DisplayPort outputs, four COM ports, two SATA bays with RAID 0 or 1, an M.2 NVMe socket and an LTE socket. Power is 8 to 35 V DC. The system runs from -25 °C to 60 °C with a 35 W CPU and a 120 W GPU, meets MIL-STD-810G for vibration and shock, and carries CE and FCC Class A.
