Neousys Nuvo-7002E Intel 9th/8th Gen Core Industrial Embedded Computer with PCIe Cassette and MezIO

A frame grabber, motion controller or fieldbus card usually forces a fan into a box PC. The Neousys Nuvo-7002E holds one add-on card in a patented cassette that draws its heat into the fanless case, so a vision or control system with a PCIe card stays sealed and fanless. It is the single-slot PCIe version of the Nuvo-7000 series.

Inside the Nuvo-7002E is an LGA1151 socket for Intel 9th or 8th Gen processors at 35 W or 65 W: Core i7-9700E, i7-9700TE, i7-8700 and i7-8700T, the matching Core i5 and i3 parts, Pentium G5400 or Celeron G4900. The Q370 chipset supports Intel AMT 12.0 for remote management and TPM 2.0, two SO-DIMM sockets take up to 64 GB of DDR4-2666, and Intel UHD Graphics 630 drive VGA, DVI-D and a 4K DisplayPort output together.

The cassette carries a PCIe x16 slot with eight lanes of Gen3. The Nuvo-7002E has two GbE ports by Intel I219 and I210 controllers, four USB 3.1 Gen 2 and four USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports and two RS-232 ports on DB9, a mic-in and speaker-out jack, an M.2 2280 NVMe socket on PCIe Gen3 x4, an mSATA socket shared with a full-size mini PCIe socket, and an M.2 B key socket with two front SIM slots for LTE. Two internal SATA ports take 2.5-inch drives with RAID 0 or 1, and a MezIO port adds isolated DIO, serial, ignition or 4G modules.

Power is 8 to 35 V DC on a terminal block, with a second terminal block for a remote power switch and LED. The unit runs fanless from -25 °C to 70 °C with a 35 W CPU (to 50 °C with a 65 W CPU at full power), meets MIL-STD-810G for vibration and shock, and carries CE and FCC Class A with UL 62368-1 and IEC 62368-1 safety. Wall mounting is standard and DIN rail mounting is optional. The Nuvo-7006E adds four more GbE ports with a PoE+ option, and the Nuvo-7002DE takes two cards.
