Neousys Nuvo-7164GC Intel 9th/8th Gen Core Edge AI PC with NVIDIA L4, T4 or A2 and 6x GbE

Running a data centre GPU at the edge, beside a production line or in a roadside cabinet, needs a chassis that can move air through a passively cooled card. The Neousys Nuvo-7164GC is built for an NVIDIA L4, T4 or A2, with a cassette whose fan drives air directly over the GPU heatsink so it can sustain full inference load. It is the single-slot version of the Nuvo-7164GC/7166GC series.

Inside the Nuvo-7164GC is an LGA1151 socket for Intel 9th or 8th Gen Core i7, i5 or i3 processors at 35 W or 65 W, from the i7-9700E and i7-8700 to the i3-9100TE and i3-8100T. The Q370 chipset supports Intel AMT 12.0 and TPM 2.0, two SO-DIMM sockets take up to 64 GB of DDR4-2666, and Intel UHD Graphics 630 drive VGA, DVI-D and a 4K DisplayPort output.

The cassette carries a PCIe x16 slot with all 16 lanes of Gen3. The Nuvo-7164GC also has six GbE ports by an Intel I219 and five I210 controllers, with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ on ports three to six from a 100 W budget as a build option, four USB 3.1 Gen 2 and four Gen 1 ports, two RS-232/422/485 and two RS-232 ports, a mic-in and speaker-out jack, two SATA bays with RAID 0 or 1, an M.2 NVMe socket, mSATA, a mini PCIe socket and an M.2 LTE socket with two front SIM slots. A MezIO port takes a Neousys module for isolated DIO, more serial ports or ignition control.

Power is 8 to 35 V DC on a terminal block, with a second terminal block for a remote power switch and LED. The system runs from -25 °C to 60 °C with a 35 W CPU (to 50 °C with a 65 W CPU at full power), meets MIL-STD-810G for vibration and shock, and carries CE and FCC Class A. NVIDIA requires 0 °C to 50 °C operation with an L4, T4 or A2 under its warranty policy. The Nuvo-7166GC adds a second PCIe slot, and the Nuvo-7168GC series takes an RTX A2000.
