Neousys Nuvo-7250VTC Intel 9th/8th Gen Core Mobile NVRs with PoE+ and SuperCAP Power Backup

Buses, trains, police cars and service fleets record more cameras every year, and the computer has to power them, survive vibration and a noisy vehicle supply, and start and stop with the engine. The Neousys Nuvo-7250VTC series is a fanless mobile NVR built for that work. It adds a built-in ultracapacitor power backup with 2500 watt-seconds of stored energy, so recording continues through supply drops and the system shuts down cleanly when power is lost, and two hot-swappable drive trays with RAID 0 or 1.

Every model has an LGA1151 socket for 35 W Intel 9th or 8th Gen Core processors: Core i7-9700TE or i7-8700T, i5-9500TE or i5-8500T, and i3-9100TE or i3-8100T. The Q370 chipset supports Intel AMT 12.0 and TPM 2.0, two SO-DIMM sockets take up to 64 GB of DDR4-2666, and Intel UHD Graphics 630 drive VGA, DVI-D and a 4K DisplayPort output. Each one carries two further GbE ports by Intel I219 and I210 controllers, four USB 3.1 Gen 2 and four Gen 1 ports, two RS-232/422/485 and two RS-232 ports, an isolated CAN 2.0 port, four isolated inputs and four isolated outputs, mic-in and speaker-out, an M.2 NVMe socket, an mSATA socket, three full-size mini PCIe sockets with SIM slots and two M.2 B key sockets for LTE. The three LTE-ready sockets and five SIM slots let one unit run a 4G uplink for live video and a separate telematics or GNSS module at the same time.

There are three versions, which differ only in their camera ports. The Nuvo-7250VTC has four IEEE 802.3at PoE+ ports on locking M12 X-coded connectors for the toughest installations. The Nuvo-7254VTC has four PoE+ ports on RJ45, and the Nuvo-7258VTC has eight PoE+ ports on RJ45 for larger camera counts. Every PoE+ port supplies up to 25.5 W.

Power is 8 to 35 V DC with built-in ignition control, plus a terminal block for a remote power switch and LED. The unit runs fanless from -40 °C to 70 °C, meets IEC 61373 Category 1 Class B (body mounted) for vibration and shock, and carries E-Mark, EN 50121 and CE and FCC Class A. Wall mounting on damping brackets is standard and DIN rail mounting is optional.
