Surround-view and multi-camera recording on a vehicle needs more than four camera ports, somewhere to keep the footage and often a slot for one more card. The Nuvo-9208VTC is the eight-port model in the Neousys Nuvo-9200VTC series: a rugged vehicle computer with eight RJ45 PoE+ ports, two hot-swap RAID trays and a single-slot PCIe cassette, which suits it to mobile NVR duty.
The LGA1700 socket on the Intel Q670E chipset takes 14th Gen Core processors up to the i9-14900 with 24 cores and 32 threads, plus 13th and 12th Gen Core, Pentium and Celeron E-series parts, at 35 W or 65 W, with two DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM slots to 128 GB. Intel UHD Graphics 770 drives VGA, DVI-D and DisplayPort, and Intel vPro with AMT 16.0 and dTPM 2.0 support remote management. Neousys quotes up to 1.8x the system performance of 10th and 11th Gen systems.
Four Gigabit 802.3at PoE+ ports by Intel I210 and four 2.5G PoE+ ports by I226-IT/I225-IT power the cameras at 25 W each, with a separate screw-lock 2.5GbE and Gigabit Ethernet pair for uplink. Footage goes to two hot-swappable 2.5-inch SATA trays in RAID 0 or 1, beside an M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe system drive. The cassette takes one PCIe x16 Gen3 card, and the Nuvo-9208VTC adds an isolated CAN 2.0 port, 4-channel isolated DI and DO, four serial ports, a screw-lock 20 Gbps USB-C port and eight USB Type-A ports. Where four cameras are enough, the Nuvo-9204VTC keeps the RJ45 build.
The terminal block accepts 8 to 48 V DC, and built-in ignition control starts and shuts down the rugged vehicle computer with the vehicle. With a 35 W processor and one memory module the Nuvo-9208VTC runs fanless from -40 °C to 70 °C, or to 60 °C with both slots filled and 50 °C at 65 W. Shock and vibration are rated to EN 50155:2017 and IEC 61373 Category I Class B body-mounted, and it is E-Mark and EN 45545-2 certified and EN 50155 EMC compliant, at 240 x 225 x 103 mm on a damping wall-mount bracket.
