PCIe-NX154-JON8 Overview
Legacy machine vision systems often run rule-based inspection on a host that has no spare capacity for deep learning. The PCIe-NX154-JON8 adds that capacity through a single slot. It is the 8GB build in the Neousys PCIe-NX154 series: an AI frame grabber card with an onboard NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB module and four PoE+ camera ports, shipped with a 128GB NVMe SSD holding a pre-installed system image.
The four RJ45 ports run 2.5GBASE-T, and the datasheet names the Intel I225-IT for these links. The card fits a single PCIe x4 slot and communicates with the host over Gen2 x1 signals at 2.5 Gb/s total bandwidth, which Neousys describes as 2.5GbE host communication. Neousys names 19-inch rack-mount IPCs and off-the-shelf box PCs as typical hosts, with Windows and Linux both supported.
Each port delivers up to 25.5 W under IEEE 802.3at PoE+, with 50 W shared across the four ports to power industrial GigE cameras or IP cameras. The module has 8GB LPDDR5 at 3200 MHz, an Ampere GPU and an Arm Cortex CPU, with JetPack bundled, and the NVMe sits in an M.2 2242 M key socket at PCIe Gen4 x2. Neousys names object detection, classification, tracking and facial recognition as uses. The PCIe-NX154-JON16 carries the 16GB module, and the PCIe-PoE354at is a four-port PoE+ card without onboard AI. Our FAQ on PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ explains the 802.3at limit.
Operating temperature is -25 to 60 °C with airflow in 20W TDP mode; 2.5G links are limited to 60 °C, and a wide-temperature NVMe is needed below 0 °C or above 60 °C. Storage is -40 to 85 °C. The half-length card measures 167.7 x 111 mm and weighs 0.4 kg. A 12 V DC input covers standalone development or builds above 66 W total, and development ports include Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 2.0, micro USB OTG and a 4K60 DisplayPort. EMC is CE and FCC Class A to EN 55032 and EN 55035.

Official Neousys UK Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Neousys UK distributor, supplying the PCIe-NX154-JON8 for UK inspection and video analytics programmes. Within the Neousys range the PCIe-NX154-JON16 doubles the module memory to 16GB, and the PCIe-GL26 series takes six GMSL2 automotive cameras with a Jetson Xavier NX.
With PoE+ camera ports and an onboard Jetson module, the PCIe-NX154-JON8 sits among our PoE+ camera cards, our machine vision frame grabbers and our PCIe video capture cards. Where four powered cameras need inference and the 8GB module covers the model, this is the build to specify.
