Premio CT-DR101 3.5" SBCs with AMD Ryzen Embedded, Triple Display and -40 to 75 °C

Roadside cabinets, outdoor enclosures and unheated plant rooms expose a board to freezing starts and summer heat, and the display and network load rarely eases because of it. The Premio CT-DR101 series is a 3.5 inch SBC built for that brief, rated from -40 to 75 °C, with an onboard AMD Ryzen Embedded processor, ECC memory support and three independent display outputs on a 146 x 102 mm board.

Every CT-DR101 shares the same layout. Two DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM sockets take up to 32 GB, with ECC and non-ECC modules supported. The display set covers DisplayPort 1.4 (DP++) at 3840 x 2160 and 60 Hz, HDMI 2.0b and a 24-bit dual-channel LVDS header at up to 1920 x 1200, with three independent displays. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports on Intel i210 controllers support Wake-on-LAN and PXE boot. The rear panel carries two USB 3.2 Gen2 and two USB 2.0 ports, with two RS-232/422/485 ports, two 4-bit DIO and Realtek ALC888S audio on internal headers. An M.2 B key in 3042 with an attached SIM socket takes a 4G/5G module or a SATA SSD, and a full-size Mini PCIe slot and a 50-pin PCIe x4 high-speed connector handle expansion. TPM 2.0 is on board.

The variants differ in processor. The CT-DR101-V1605B carries the AMD Ryzen Embedded V1605B with four cores, eight threads, up to 3.6 GHz and Radeon Vega 8 graphics, which suits graphics-rich HMI and multi-screen software. The CT-DR101-R1606G carries the R1606G with two cores, four threads, up to 3.5 GHz and Radeon Vega 3 graphics for control, gateway and signage software where the full four cores are not needed.

Power is 12 V DC in AT or ATX mode on a 4-pin internal connector, with over-voltage, over-current and reverse-polarity protection, and a software watchdog resets the system after 1 to 255 seconds. Every CT-DR101 operates from -40 to 75 °C, stores from -40 to 85 °C and handles 10 to 90% humidity, non-condensing. It measures 146 x 102 mm and ships with a heat sink, front panel, COM and SATA cables. Windows 10 and Linux kernel 5.x, including Fedora 30 or above and Ubuntu 19.04 or above, are supported.
