Premio VIO-W221R-PC100-EHL-1E 21.5″ Resistive Touch Industrial Panel PC with Intel Celeron J6413 and PCIe Expansion

Gloved-hand HMIs often need an extra interface card too, and a second box in the cabinet for it costs space and wiring. The VIO-W221R-PC100-EHL-1E is the resistive touch configuration with PCIe expansion in the Premio VIO-W221-PC100-EHL series: a 21.5 inch fanless industrial panel PC on the Intel Celeron J6413 with an IP65 die-cast aluminium front.

The quad-core Celeron J6413 runs at up to 3.0 GHz with one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket for up to 32 GB, and supports Windows 10, Windows 11 and Linux. A removable 2.5 inch SATA bay, an mSATA socket and two M.2 sockets let the OS and logged data sit on separate drives. The 21.5 inch Full HD LCD at 1920 x 1080 runs at 300 nits with 5000:1 contrast; 5000:1 contrast and 178° viewing angles keep the picture readable for people standing to the side of the screen. 5-wire resistive touch registers pressure rather than capacitance, so it works with gloves or a stylus.

One GbE port on Intel I210 and one 2.5 GbE port on Intel I225 can keep machine and plant networks apart. Six RS-232/422/485 ports, eight isolated digital inputs and outputs, two internal CAN headers and four USB ports connect controllers and sensors directly, and DisplayPort 1.2 drives a second screen, with HDMI as an option. The -1E build adds a PCIe x4 slot (one lane) and a Universal I/O Bracket for a card such as extra LAN, serial or fieldbus I/O. The VIO-W221R-PC100-EHL is the same resistive build in a slimmer chassis without the slot, and the VIO-W221C-PC100-EHL-1E pairs the slot with projected capacitive touch.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a protected 3-pin terminal block. The VIO-W221R-PC100-EHL-1E is fanless, operates from -10 °C to 60 °C and carries CE and FCC Class A marks. It measures 527.5 x 323 x 93 mm, weighs 8.17 kg and needs a 519.5 x 315 mm cut-out in walls up to 11 mm thick, mounting with the supplied panel mount kit or 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm VESA, with an optional DIN-rail kit.
