IBOX-600-ONX16 Overview
Rail and vehicle projects often need compliance evidence and serious inference in an enclosure smaller than a lunchbox. The IBOX-600-ONX16 is the Jetson Orin NX 16GB build of the Sintrones IBOX-600 series, a compact EN 50155 rugged embedded PC that puts the largest module memory in the range behind standard RJ-45 and terminal-block connections.
The Jetson Orin NX 16GB module combines 1024 CUDA cores and 32 Tensor Cores on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture with an 8-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU at 2.0 GHz and 16 GB of 128-bit LPDDR5. Two NVDLA v2 deep learning accelerators and a PVA v2 vision accelerator take load off the GPU, and JetPack 6.2 Super Mode is supported. Sintrones measured 34.08 W at 24 V with the module in its 25 W mode, so the supply budget stays modest.
On the IBOX-600-ONX16, the 2.5GbE port and the GbE port use standard RJ-45 sockets, and the 9-60 V DC input arrives on a 3-pin terminal block with a dedicated ignition pin, which keeps cabling simple in cabinets and equipment bays. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports share 10 Gbps, and three DB-9 ports carry CAN FD, RS-232/422/485 and four digital inputs with four outputs, alongside HDMI with 4K output. Inside, an M.2 Key B slot with a Nano SIM takes an LTE or 5G modem, an M.2 Key E slot takes Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, a full-size mPCIe slot takes a GPS module, and an M.2 2280 NVMe SSD holds the OS.
The fanless aluminium enclosure measures 150 x 135 x 69 mm and 1.37 kg, mounting on a DIN rail or a wall. It operates from -25 °C to 70 °C ambient with 0.6 m/s airflow, is tested to IEC 60068-2-64 and MIL-STD-810G for vibration and 15 G shock, and is compliant with EN 50155, EN 45545-2 (R25) and E-Mark. Where vibration could loosen RJ-45 latches, the IBOX-600-M12X-ONX16 moves the same module onto M12 connectors. The IBOX-600-ONX16 is the rugged embedded PC to choose when model size leads the specification.

Official Sintrones UK Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Sintrones UK distributor, and Sintrones designs its Jetson computers around transport and outdoor standards. When a project needs Jetson AGX Orin compute in a sealed enclosure, the IBOX-650P-IP66 adds IP66 protection and PoE for outdoor cameras. For vehicle installations built around automotive cameras, the IBOX-601-G2 brings Jetson Orin compute with GMSL-2 camera inputs.
In our wider catalogue, the IBOX-600-ONX16 belongs with our edge AI computers, and its DB-9 CAN FD port places it with our Jetson CAN bus computers for vehicle network projects. EN 50155 and EN 45545-2 (R25) compliance also carries it into our rail computers for onboard and depot installations.
