Vecow EMBC-5000-1185G7E 3.5″ SBC with Intel Core i7-1185G7E, 2.5GbE TSN and Wide-Range DC Input

Transport, vending and robotics systems need Core i7 performance on a small board that accepts vehicle or industrial power and runs without a fan. The EMBC-5000-1185G7E is the standard Core i7 build in the Vecow EMBC-5000 series: a 3.5 inch SBC with an 11th Gen Intel Core i7, a wide DC input and ignition control, without the SUMIT expansion connectors.

The quad-core Intel Core i7-1185G7E is an 11th Gen Tiger Lake UP3 processor with Intel Iris Xe Graphics, and one DDR4 3200 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 32 GB. Two DisplayPort outputs reach 4096 x 2304 at 60 Hz and a dual-channel 16-bit LVDS connector drives a panel up to 1920 x 1200, so one board can serve a local panel and remote screens.

Networking pairs an Intel I219LM Gigabit port with iAMT and an Intel I225-IT 2.5GbE port with Time Sensitive Networking for synchronised real-time data. I/O covers two 10 Gbps USB ports and six USB 2.0 ports, four of them on optional internal wafers, plus four RS-232/422/485 ports, two SATA III ports and HD audio on a Realtek ALC888S-VD codec. An M.2 Key B socket with a SIM slot takes 5G or 4G modules, and an M.2 Key E 2230 socket takes Wi-Fi. The EMBC-5000E-1185G7E adds SUMIT A and B expansion to the same processor.

Power is 9 to 55 V DC on an ATX 4-pin connector, with 16-mode ignition control for vehicle installs. The EMBC-5000-1185G7E runs fanless from -40 to 75 °C with the processor at 15 W TDP, with heat sink and heat spreader accessories available, and carries a TPM 2.0, a watchdog timer and CE and FCC marks. It measures 146 x 102 mm and supports Windows 10 and Linux.
