FCCFM10E-VML Overview
Defence vehicles need a crew computer that survives vibration, water and cold, and connects through locking military connectors rather than commercial plugs. The FM10E-VML is Winmate’s 10.4 inch vehicle mount defence computer for this, with an Intel Atom x6413E processor, a PCAP touch screen, an IP65 housing and I/O on MIL-DTL-38999 connectors. Winmate builds it for military and defence applications.
The Atom x6413E runs at 1.5 GHz with bursts up to 3 GHz, and an Atom x6425E at 2 GHz is offered as an option. Memory is one DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM, 4 GB as standard and up to 16 GB, and storage is an M.2 2242 SSD from 128 GB to 512 GB, plus a microSD card slot. Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC can be supplied, and TPM 2.0 is fitted. The 10.4″ screen shows 1024 x 768 at 400 nits, with an 800 nit panel as an option, 1200:1 contrast and 176° viewing angles under projected capacitive multi-touch.
Gigabit LAN sits on a MIL-DTL-38999/1 connector, and a USB 2.0 Type-A port runs on a MIL-DTL-38999/3 connector alongside a USB Type-C port. Two RS-232/422/485 ports (RS-232 by default) link to vehicle systems. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are supported, with 4G LTE and GPS/GLONASS as options and a dual nano SIM slot. A 2MP camera is built in, and a UPS battery for about 20 minutes of backup is optional. The FM10E-V is the 10.4 inch model with commercial I/O connectors, and the FM10Q9 is the 10.4 inch Android model with a Qualcomm QCS6490 processor.
Power is 10 to 60 V DC with ignition control on a MIL-DTL-38999/1 connector, and Winmate supplies an 84 W adapter with power, USB and LAN cables. The housing is IP65 rated and IK07 rated, fanless, and tested to MIL-STD-810H Method 514.8 for vibration and Method 516.8 for shock, with the matching STANAG 4370 AECTP 401 and 402 procedures. Winmate lists a MIL-STD-461G row, and the FM10E-VML operates and stores from -30 °C to 60 °C. It mounts on VESA holes, and we supply it configured, with the OS installed, and tested.
