Winmate I330EAC-IK3 Intel Core i5-7300U Marine Embedded Computer with 9 to 36V DC

Shipboard automation often comes down to serial links: engine controllers, tank gauges and alarm panels that talk RS-422 or RS-485 over long cable runs, where isolation protects the computer from ground loops. The I330EAC-IK3 is Winmate’s fanless marine embedded computer for machine-to-machine links of that kind, built around an Intel Core i5-7300U.

The 7th Gen Core i5-7300U runs at 2.6 GHz with turbo to 3.5 GHz. One DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM holds 4 GB as standard, with 8 or 16 GB as options, and storage is a 128 GB M.2 2242 SSD with 256 or 512 GB as options. TPM 2.0 is on board, and Windows or Linux Ubuntu 20.04 are available. That suits the I330EAC-IK3 to supervisory software, protocol conversion and logging rather than heavy graphics.

Serial is the main draw: three isolated RS-422/485 ports plus one RS-232/422/485 port. Eight GPIO channels sit on a Phoenix-type terminal block at 5 V and 12 mA. There are two Gigabit RJ45 ports on Intel controllers, two USB 3.0 ports, VGA as standard with HDMI as an option, and audio in, audio out and mic in. Within the Winmate range the I330EAC-ITW moves to an 11th Gen Core i5 with eight NMEA 0183 ports and isolated DIO, and the I330EAC-IMT uses an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U in the same marine line.

Power is 24 V DC as the approved input, with 9 to 36 V DC accepted, and an 84 W AC adapter is supplied. The fanless aluminium housing runs from -15 to 55 °C at 5 to 95% humidity, with vibration at 0.7 g to DNV-CG-0339 Class A and shock at 15 G for 11 ms. It carries CE and FCC marks and is designed for table mounting. We supply the I330EAC-IK3 configured, with the OS installed, and tested before dispatch.
