Winmate M101AD-EX 10.1″ ATEX Zone 2 Rugged Tablet with Intel Core i5-1235U and Class I Division 2

Inspection and maintenance teams on sites with explosive atmospheres often have to leave ordinary tablets at the boundary, which means paper notes and double entry. The M101AD-EX is Winmate’s 10.1 inch ATEX Zone 2 rugged tablet, certified for ATEX and IECEx Zone 2 and Class I, Division 2, so the same device can be carried across zones. It is non-incendive Ex ic equipment, with an Intel Core i5-1235U and an IP65 enclosure.

The certification row lists IECEx Zone 2 Ex ic IIC T4 Gc, ATEX Zone 2 II 3G Ex ic IIC T4 Gc, Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D, T4 and KCs Ex ic IIC T4 Gc. The 12th Gen Core i5-1235U runs at up to 4.4 GHz with 8 GB memory as standard and 16 or 32 GB options, a 128 GB SSD with options up to 2 TB and a microSDXC slot. It runs Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC with TPM 2.0. The 10.1″ screen is 1920 x 1200 at 800 nits with optical bonding, anti-glare treatment and PCAP multi-touch.

Ports are a Gigabit LAN port, a USB 3.0 Type-A port and a USB 3.0 Type-C port with Power Delivery input and Alt Mode, plus a 19-pin docking connector. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/GLONASS are standard, with optional 4G LTE or 5G, an optional 1D/2D barcode reader and optional HF RFID. A 2MP front and an 8MP autofocus rear camera are fitted. The M101AD is the 10.1 inch model for non-hazardous sites, and the M116AD has an 11.6 inch 850 nit screen.

The M101AD-EX is IP65 rated, fan cooled and operates from -10 °C to 50 °C, with drop tested from 4 ft and shock and vibration to MIL-STD-810H. Its hot-swappable battery is quoted at 8 hours, and an AC adapter, power cord and capacitive stylus are supplied, with desk and vehicle docks optional.
