Winmate R12L600-CHM2TR 12.1″ Chassis Monitor with Transflective LCD and Resistive Touch

Where a screen faces strong ambient light, a transflective LCD uses that light as well as its backlight to stay readable. The R12L600-CHM2TR is Winmate’s 12.1 inch transflective chassis monitor, in a fanless metal housing with an aluminium bezel that mounts on VESA, for industrial control systems, kiosks and outdoor installations.

The 12.1″ 4:3 panel runs at 1024 x 768 (XGA) with 600 nits and a 700:1 contrast ratio, and Winmate quotes viewing angles of 160° horizontally and 140° vertically. The transflective layer helps the screen hold contrast as ambient light rises. Resistive touch comes as standard and works with gloves or a stylus. Winmate also offers SAW touch, or protection glass without touch where the screen only needs to display.

Video comes in over VGA as standard, with HDMI or DVI inputs available as options, and touch data runs over a single USB port. An audio line-in and two speakers are optional, and five keys handle the on-screen menu, with a remote control as an optional accessory. Within the Winmate range, the R12L600-CHM2 is the standard 500 nit version with 1000:1 contrast, and the R12T600-CHL1 uses a 12.1″ 800 x 600 panel at 450 nits.

The R12L600-CHM2TR runs from 12 V DC, with a 24 V DC input as an option, and an AC adapter comes with it, along with a power cord, VGA and HDMI cables and VESA screws. It operates from 0 °C to 50 °C at 10 to 90% humidity, non-condensing, and stores from -10 °C to 60 °C. The 12.1 inch monitor cools without a fan, mounts on VESA and carries CE and FCC marks.
