Winmate R17L500-RKM1 17″ Rack Mount Monitor with Resistive Touch and 350 Nit SXGA LCD

Equipment racks in server rooms, broadcast suites and control cabinets rarely have a good place for a desktop monitor, and a screen on a shelf is easily knocked. The R17L500-RKM1 is Winmate’s 17 inch rack mount monitor: a 1280 x 1024 SXGA LCD at 350 nits with resistive touch, built into a 482.6 mm wide front panel that fixes straight into a standard 19 inch rack.

The panel has a 1000:1 contrast ratio and shows 16.2 million colours across an active area of 337.92 x 270.336 mm, with viewing angles of 170° horizontally and 160° vertically. Resistive touch is fitted as standard, so operators can work menus directly on the screen, even in gloves. SAW touch or protection glass without touch are available as alternatives.

VGA is the standard video input, with HDMI and DVI available as options, and a USB port carries the touch signal to the host. An optional audio line-in and twin speakers add sound for alarms. A five-key OSD panel on the front sets brightness and picture without opening the rack. The R19L300-RKM1 offers the same rack panel with a 19 inch screen, and the R19L300-RKM2 adds 2000:1 contrast and wider viewing angles at 19 inch.

The R17L500-RKM1 runs from 12 V DC, with 24 V DC as an option, and ships with a 100 to 240 V AC to DC adapter. It is fanless, operates from 0 °C to 50 °C and 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity, and stores from -10 °C to 60 °C. The metal housing with aluminium bezel measures 482.6 x 399 x 65 mm, with front handles for handling and 75 x 75 or 100 x 100 mm VESA holes as an alternative mount. It carries CE and FCC marks. Winmate lists industrial visualisation, control rooms and equipment monitoring as typical uses, along with server racks, cabinets, room controls and security monitoring.
