FCCR21L100-MRM1 Overview
A bridge display has to be readable at noon and dim almost to black at night without spoiling the watch officer’s night vision. The R21L100-MRM1 is Winmate’s 21.3 inch marine monitor, with a 1000 nit 1600 x 1200 panel, a front dimming knob and an IP66 front, designed in compliance with DNVGL-CG-0339, IEC 60945 4th Edition and IACS E10.
The 4:3 UXGA panel pairs 1000 nits with an 1800:1 contrast ratio and 89 degree viewing angles in every direction, and the dimming knob takes the backlight from nearly 0% to 100%. Resistive touch is standard and connects over RS-232 or USB, and AR protection glass is available instead for display-only positions. An eight-key OSD sits beside the knob.
Video inputs are VGA, DVI-D, composite and S-Video, which covers chart systems, radar and camera sources, and a separate RS-232 port supports remote control. Where the same 21.3 inch panel is needed outside a marine housing, the R21L100-OFM1 is the open frame version, and the R21L100-MLM1FP is a rack mount defence build with PCAP touch.
The powder-coated aluminium housing is IP66 at the front and IP54 at the rear, measures 519 x 420 x 81.4 mm, weighs 7.5 kg and fits a 480 x 396 mm panel cut-out or VESA. It accepts 9 to 36 V DC through a 24 V DC isolated power module and draws 50 W typical. It operates from -15 to 55 °C at 5 to 95% humidity, withstands 15 g shock for 11 ms and 0.7 g vibration to DNV-CG-0339 Class A, and carries CE and FCC marks.
