Winmate S17L500-IPA1HB 17″ Front IP65 Monitor with 1000 Nit SXGA Display and Resistive Touch

A 17 inch operator screen in a bright workshop, a gatehouse or an outdoor kiosk has to stay readable, and the front has to cope with dust and water jets. The S17L500-IPA1HB is Winmate’s 17 inch industrial monitor for that job: an SXGA panel, with front IP65 protection against dust and low-pressure water jets in a fanless metal housing with an aluminium bezel. It connects to a separate industrial computer or controller and fits into cabinets, racks and fixtures.

The 17″ 1280 x 1024 panel runs at 1000 nits, so it stays readable in sunlight, with 1000:1 contrast and 170 degree horizontal and 160 degree vertical viewing angles. The 5:4 format matches many existing HMI and SCADA screen layouts. Touch is optional: resistive touch, which works with gloved fingers or a stylus, or a protection glass without touch can be specified to suit the job.

Video comes in over VGA as standard, with HDMI or DVI inputs as options. Touch connects over a single USB port. Set-up is through a five-key OSD. An audio line-in and two speakers are optional, as is a remote controller. The S17L500-IPM1 is the 350 nit version for indoor control panels, and the S17L500-IPA1TR is the transflective version at 400 nits.

The 17 inch monitor is rated IP65 at the front and mounts into a panel cut-out or on VESA. It runs from 12 V DC, with a 24 V DC input as an option, and a 100 to 240 V AC adapter, power cord and VGA and HDMI cables are supplied. It operates from 0 °C to 50 °C at 10 to 90% humidity, non-condensing, and stores from -10 °C to 60 °C, and it carries CE and FCC marks.
