QSDI to 12G-SDI/HDMI2.0-S Overview
Older 4K cameras and recorders often deliver quad-link 3G-SDI over four cables, while newer monitors and routers expect single-cable 12G-SDI or HDMI 2.0. The Yuan QSDI to 12G-SDI/HDMI2.0-S is a broadcast video converter that bridges the two, so you can keep using quad-link sources in a modern broadcast or live production system.
Inputs are four SDI connections accepting quad-link SDI at 4096×2160 and 3840×2160 at 60/50 fps, in two-sample interleave or square division, dual-link SDI at 4K30, and 3G, HD and SD-SDI. Outputs are one HDMI 2.0 and two 12G-SDI, scaled up or down. 12G-SDI runs at 4K60, 6G-SDI at 4K30 and HD formats below, while HDMI 2.0 also reaches PC formats from 640×480 to 1280×1024. A stereo jack outputs two channels of analogue audio. HDMI carries eight channels at up to 192 kHz, and SDI up to eight channels at 48 kHz.
The QSDI to 12G-SDI/HDMI2.0-S is plug and play with auto source format detection and a 7.5 to 15 V DC input. For the opposite direction, the 12G-SDI/HDMI2.0 to QSDI-S turns 12G-SDI or HDMI 2.0 into quad-link SDI. If you need SDI only without scaling, the QSDI to 12G-SDI merges quad-link into 12G-SDI with 16-channel audio.
