Yuan SC400N4 HDMI PCIe HDMI Capture Card with 4 x HDMI Inputs at 1080p60

A multi-camera stream, a four-screen test station or a monitoring PC that records several HDMI sources soon runs out of slots if each input needs its own card. The SC400N4 HDMI is Yuan’s 4-channel PCIe HDMI capture card for those systems, with four HDMI inputs on one full height card.

Every channel captures at up to 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps, and the card also accepts 1080i, 720p and PC resolutions from 640 x 480 to 1280 x 1024. Audio arrives as four stereo embedded channels. Capture and preview formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2, and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, all 8-bit, so host software can take frames in the format it already uses. On-board processing covers cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and deinterlacing. There is no hardware encoder, so any compression runs in software on the host.

The card runs PCIe x4 Gen2 and adds 16 GPIO lines. Yuan supplies a Windows and Linux SDK for custom applications, and the card works with DirectShow and V4L2 software; Yuan’s compatibility list names vMix, OBS, Zoom, Skype, Teams, Discord, Slack, Cisco Webex and GoToMeeting. The SC410N4 HDMI raises each channel to 4096 x 2160 at 30 fps, and the SC400N4 M2 HDMI puts four HDMI inputs on an M.2 2280 module for smaller hosts.

Yuan lists driver support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 4.8 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. Yuan lists multi-instance and multi-device support for systems that run more than one capture session or card. The card measures 111.74 x 101.01 mm and is listed by Yuan as full height PCIe, for tower and rackmount hosts with a full height x4 slot.
