Moving an SDI system to 4K usually means 6G-SDI cameras, and recording four of them needs a card that keeps each channel at UHD without filling every slot. The SC410N4 6G-SDI is Yuan’s 4-channel PCIe SDI video capture card for that step, with four 6G-SDI inputs on one full height card.
Every channel captures at up to 3840 x 2160p at 30/25 fps over 6G-SDI, and the card also accepts 3G-SDI at 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps, HD-SDI and SD-SDI, so existing HD cameras still connect. Audio arrives as four stereo embedded channels. Capture and preview formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2, and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, all 8-bit, so host software can take frames in the format it already uses.
The card runs PCIe x4 Gen2 and adds 16 GPIO lines. On-board processing covers cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and deinterlacing, and the card captures VANC data alongside video and audio. There is no hardware encoder, so any compression runs in software on the host. Yuan supplies a Windows and Linux SDK for custom applications, and the card works with DirectShow and V4L2 software; Yuan’s compatibility list names vMix, OBS, Zoom, Skype, Teams, Discord, Slack, Cisco Webex and GoToMeeting. The SC410N4 HDMI is the HDMI version with four inputs at up to 4096 x 2160, and the SC400N4 SDI captures four SDI feeds at 1080p60 on a smaller card.
Yuan lists driver support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 4.8 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. Yuan lists multi-instance and multi-device support for systems that run more than one capture session or card. The card measures 123.79 x 91.5 mm and is listed by Yuan as full height PCIe, for tower and rackmount hosts with a free x4 slot.
