Five cameras and one screen is a common recording layout: several angles on a stage, a training room or a process, plus the computer that drives the presentation or the control display. The SC5A0N6 Hybrid is Yuan’s six-channel PCIe HDMI, SDI and DVI frame grabber for it, with five SDI inputs plus DVI-D and DVI-A connectors on one PCIe x4 board.
The DVI connectors carry HDMI, YPbPr, S-Video and composite sources, giving six capture channels in all. Each accepts 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps and captures at 30/25 fps, with HD-SDI, SD-SDI, 1080i, 720p and PAL or NTSC formats listed. Capture and preview formats cover RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2 and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, so frames can go straight to an encoder, a display pipeline or an analytics model without a colour conversion step. Each channel captures stereo embedded audio at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz.
The card uses a PCIe x4 Gen2 slot and supports multiple instances and multiple cards per host, with cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection, deinterlacing and 12 GPIO. Software runs through Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK, and the card works with DirectShow and V4L2 applications such as vMix, OBS, Zoom and Teams. The SC5A0N4 Hybrid is the four-channel version with SDI and DVI, and the SC5A0N8 SDI gives eight SDI channels where no DVI source is needed.
Yuan lists driver support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux kernel 2.6.14 or later in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux on ARM and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. So a six-channel recorder can be built on Windows, Linux or a Jetson module. The board measures 167.65 x 96.53 mm.
