Yuan SC5A0N8 HDMI PCIe HDMI Capture Card with 8 x HDMI Inputs and 1080p30 Capture

When eight HDMI sources need recording or watching from one PC, such as cameras around a site, computers in a training room or screens on a test floor, the slot count runs out fast. The SC5A0N8 HDMI is Yuan’s eight-channel PCIe HDMI capture card that brings all eight into one PCIe x4 slot, with an H.26X encoder compressing them on the card.

Each HDMI input accepts 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps and captures at 30/25 fps, with 1080i, 720p and computer modes from 640 x 480 to 1280 x 1024 also listed. It delivers RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2 and YV12 or NV12 at 4:2:0, which lets software pick the format its encoder or vision library expects. Each of the eight channels captures stereo embedded audio at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz.

The card uses a PCIe x4 Gen2 slot and supports multiple instances and multiple cards per host, with cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection, deinterlacing and 16 GPIO. Yuan supplies a Windows and Linux SDK for custom applications, and DirectShow and V4L2 compatibility means tools such as OBS, vMix, Cisco Webex and Zoom can open the card directly. The SC5C0N8 HDMI is the eight-channel HDMI card at 1080p60, and the SC5A0N4 HDMI takes four HDMI channels where eight is more than the job needs.

Drivers cover Windows 7 to Windows 10, Linux 2.6.14 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit form, Linux on ARM and the NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. So an eight-channel recorder can run on Windows, Linux or a Jetson edge unit with the same card. The board measures 167.65 x 101.03 mm.
